Two Dublin men sentenced in federal gun cases

Eric Lowe received 96 months in prison, while Tykez Davis received 15 months in a separate firearm case.

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two Dublin men have been sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty in separate firearms cases, including one that also involved methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Georgia announced Tuesday.

According to an news release, 45-year-old Eric Lowe was sentenced to 96 months in prison and fined $1,500, followed by three years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Dublin police found Lowe with a Taurus Model 85 .38-caliber pistol during a February 2023 traffic stop in Laurens County.

In a separate case, 30-year-old Tykez Elijahwun Davis was sentenced to 15 months in prison and fined $1,500, followed by three years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Dublin police found Davis with a Rossi Model 461 .357-caliber pistol in Laurens County in August 2024.
