Macon-Bibb advance voting ends with 4,834 ballots cast

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Advance voting has ended in Macon-Bibb County ahead of Tuesday’s June 16 general primary and nonpartisan general runoff election.

According to the Macon-Bibb County Board of Elections’ final advanced voting report, 4,834 people voted early in person from Monday, June 8 through Friday, June 12.

Friday was the busiest day of advance voting, with 1,441 people casting ballots in person.

The report shows 2,430 people voted at the Board of Elections main office at the Macon Mall, 950 voted at the Elaine H. Lucas Senior Center and 1,454 voted at Northminster Presbyterian Church.

The Board of Elections report also shows 832 absentee-by-mail ballots were issued, with 229 returned and none rejected.

The report notes that no ballot results have been tabulated.

There is no voting scheduled Monday at the Board of Elections office or satellite locations. Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 16.

Voters must report to their assigned polling location on Election Day. Voters can check their polling place and sample ballot through the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page.
