Two drivers hospitalized after Washington County crash

Georgia State Patrol says both drivers were taken to Washington County Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two drivers were taken to a hospital Friday morning after a crash in Washington County, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

In an email, GSP said troopers responded to Tennille Harrison Road at Old Savannah Road at 7:59 a.m.

According to GSP, a Ford Maverick was traveling north on Tennille Harrison Road when the driver failed to yield after stopping at a stop sign. The Ford Maverick was then struck by a Ford Escape traveling west on Old Savannah Road, GSP says.

Both drivers were taken by EMS to Washington County Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

GSP says the driver of the Ford Maverick was cited for failure to yield after stopping at a stop sign.
