Downtown Macon filming to bring closures near Terminal Station
S&K Pictures, Inc. will film in Downtown Macon from June 15 through July 17, with several closures planned near Historic Terminal Station

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A film crew will begin setting up in Downtown Macon on June 15 for a new movie production that will be in the area through July 17.
Macon-Bibb County says S&K Pictures, Inc. will film in Downtown Macon during that time.
The county did not name the production.
For the entire filming period, several areas of Fifth Street will be closed near Historic Terminal Station.
The closures include the westside parking lane between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Poplar Street, the eastside parking lane between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and the north driveway entrance of Terminal Station and the east sidewalk directly in front of the Terminal Station entrance.
Macon-Bibb County says the closures will not block the bus shelter area.
Additional closures will be announced as they are finalized, according to the county.
Drivers near Fifth Street and Historic Terminal Station are asked to use caution and watch for people working in the area.
“It’s a great day in Macon-Bibb when our beautiful community will be featured on the big screen,” Mayor Lester Miller said. “I’m especially excited for the length of time crews will be here, getting to enjoy the hospitality and welcoming nature of our Downtown.”
Visit Macon Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Aaron Buzza said film and television productions can bring attention to the community during filming and after a project is released.
“We are always excited to welcome film and television productions to Macon,” Buzza said. “The productions provide a great showcase for our community both during the time filming is happening and into the future. Cast and crew have the chance to experience the hospitality Macon offers during their stays in hotels, meals at restaurants, and visits to attractions and retail throughout the community. Viewers also have an opportunity to see Macon on screen and often want to experience those locations in person and see more of our community.”
Macon-Bibb County says several movies and television shows have filmed in the area over the years, including “Superman,” “42,” “Need for Speed,” “The Color Purple,” “I, Tonya,” “Tulsa King,” “Watchmen,” “Lovecraft Country” and “The Vampire Diaries.”
