Making a splash: Baldwin County water park opens this month
The new aquatic center in Milledgeville will feature water slides, a lazy river and a beach-entry pool.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — After years of planning and construction, Baldwin County’s new water park, Splash Baldwin, is set to open later this month.
According to the Baldwin County Board of Commissioners, Splash Baldwin will officially open Friday, May 29 at Walter B. Williams Park in Milledgeville.
County leaders say the aquatic center was modeled after Southern Pines Water Park in Dublin and was designed as a family-friendly recreation destination for both residents and visitors.
The facility includes a beach-entry pool, lazy river, water slides and an interactive splash pad for younger children. The park will also feature concessions, picnic areas and gathering spaces.
Admission prices will be:
- $12 general admission
- Free for children ages 3 and younger
- $9 for military members and adults 65 and older
County officials say season passes must be purchased online. Individual season passes are listed at $85. Family passes (up to four people) are listed at $250.
Splash Baldwin will operate:
- 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday
- 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays
- Closed Mondays
The county also says the park is hiring lifeguards and will provide on-the-job training for applicants ages 16 and older. Call (478) 445-0671 for more information or click here to download an application.
The project has been in development for several years. In 2021, county officials told 41NBC the aquatic center was funded through Baldwin County’s special purpose local option sales tax program.
