HOUSTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Warner Robins woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being convicted in a 2024 nightclub shooting, according to the Houston County District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors say 26-year-old Katlyn Cammile Green was found guilty of aggravated assault after a three-day jury trial in Superior Court. She was sentenced Tuesday by Judge G.E. “Bo” Adams to 20 years, with the first 15 years to be served in prison.

According to prosecutors, the case stems from a March 15, 2024 shooting outside Cru Nightclub on Highway 247 in Warner Robins. They say Green and another woman were arguing in the parking lot over a romantic relationship involving a man who was not part of the confrontation.

Witnesses testified Green was holding a handgun during the dispute. Prosecutors say a fight later broke out involving Green’s sister and the victim before Green shot the victim in the chest.

Prosecutors say the victim survived and testified during the trial. Portions of the incident were also captured on surveillance video from the nightclub.

“This case is yet another example of a completely avoidable dispute escalating into gun violence because someone chose to introduce a firearm into an already volatile situation,” DA Eric Edwards said. “What began as an argument in a crowded parking lot ended with a victim being shot in the chest who is fortunate to still be alive today. Too often, minor personal conflicts are turning into life-altering acts of violence because individuals are willing to use firearms in moments of anger. That conduct places not only the intended victim at risk, but everyone else present in the area.”
