Conditions remain dry as temperatures climb Wednesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s Wednesday afternoon as dew points remain in the low to mid 40s.
This Evening
A partly sunny afternoon will see more high level clouds move in overnight across Middle Georgia. These clouds likely will not act much as a blanket, however, and thus low temperatures should largely drop into the mid to upper 40s across the region (despite models again suggesting mid 50s…Macon got down to 40 last night, Dublin down to 37 and Eastman 39). The wind will be light out of the southeast around 5 mph. Some fog is possible by tomorrow morning but the overall scope of it should be limited.
Tomorrow
A lot more clouds are likely throughout the day on Wednesday with temperatures largely peaking in the mid 80s. There will still be plenty of sun, however, as many of the clouds will be upper level cirrus. The wind will be light from the south-southeast. While model guidance suggests the possibility for a couple of showers the moisture content will likely still be too low for these to occur.
Overnight will be clear with temperatures dropping to around 50 degrees. The wind will be light and variable and some fog will be possible leading through the sunrise on Thursday.
Thursday and Beyond
Conditions will continue to gradually get warmer into the late parts of the week with highs pushing towards 90 degrees by Friday in the hottest locations. As the wind mainly stays out of the south the moisture content will climb, potentially allowing for a couple of isolated showers and storms Thursday and Friday afternoon. Rain odds look to jump a lot on Saturday when most if not all of Middle Georgia could get rain.
