9-year-old girl in critical condition after SUV strikes her on Log Cabin Drive
It happened near Gadson Drive just before 8 p.m. Saturday. Deputies spoke with the driver at the scene.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 9-year-old girl is in critical condition after being struck by an SUV on Log Cabin Drive Saturday night, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened just before 8 p.m. near the intersection of Gadson Drive.
Deputies say a 31-year-old woman driving a white Toyota Highlander struck the girl as she crossed the road. Deputies spoke with the driver at the scene.
The girl was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where medical staff listed her in critical condition. The sheriff’s office is withholding her name pending notification of her family.
The collision remains under investigation.
