MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Baldwin County jury has convicted a woman of kidnapping and aggravated stalking after prosecutors say she abducted and assaulted her former girlfriend in August 2024.

According to a news release from the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, Victoria Lewis was found guilty of kidnapping with bodily injury and aggravated stalking after a two-day jury trial in Baldwin County Superior Court.

Prosecutors said Lewis went to her former girlfriend’s home on North Lincoln Street in Milledgeville and forced her into a vehicle, then drove her to Covington, eventually holding the victim against her will at a motel and physically assaulting her, causing visible injuries.

According to the DA’s office, the victim later flagged down witnesses at a Covington gas station and asked for help, but Lewis fled the scene with the victim still inside the vehicle. Prosecutors said Lewis later returned the victim to her home in Milledgeville. Lewis was arrested the following day.

The district attorney’s office said Lewis was already on probation in a separate domestic violence case involving the same victim and was prohibited from contacting her as a condition of that sentence.

Witnesses traveled from Covington, Lawrenceville and Macon to testify during the trial. Jurors deliberated for more than an hour before returning guilty verdicts on both charges.

The DA’s office did not release sentencing information.
