Monroe County Sheriff’s Office releases images in Macon bank forgery investigation
Investigators say a victim’s check was altered and deposited at a Macon bank in December.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a person connected to a forgery investigation involving a bank transaction in Macon, according to a news release.
The sheriff’s office said a victim’s check was altered and deposited around 8:44 p.m. on December 22, 2025, at Truist Bank on Cherry Street in Macon. Investigators said surveillance images show the person who deposited the check.
Anyone who recognizes the person or has information about the case is asked to contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 994-7010.
Tips can also be submitted through the sheriff’s office Facebook and Instagram pages or the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office app. The sheriff’s office says tips may be made anonymously.
