GBI announces arrests of two in Tennille drug case, including Georgia corrections officer
Agents seized multiple drugs and firearms during a search on Joiner Road.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two Tennille residents, including a Georgia Department of Corrections employee, were arrested following a drug and firearm investigation on Joiner Road, according to separate releases from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the GBI’s Friday release, the Ocmulgee Drug Task Force arrested 34-year-old Quentavious Daveon Peacock and 27-year-old Adriana Carnelio after agents executed a search warrant at a home on Joiner Road in Tennille on Wednesday.
The GBI said suspected marijuana, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, methamphetamine and two firearms were seized during the search. Both Peacock and Carnelio were booked into the Washington County Jail.
The GBI said Peacock is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and theft of lost or mislaid property.
According to the GBI, Carnelio is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and theft of lost or mislaid property. The GBI also confirmed Carnelio is a correctional officer with the Georgia Department of Corrections assigned to Washington State Prison.
In a separate release on Thursday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office identified Peacock as the resident of the Joiner Road home and said deputies recovered powder cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and two firearms during the search.
Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran said the investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
The GBI said the operation involved the GBI Middle Georgia Gang Task Force, the Georgia Department of Community Supervision and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
