The new week is off to a cool start thanks to this past weekend’s cold front. Another frigid night is expected with temperatures dropping into the mid to upper 20s. Middle Georgians should bring in any pets or plants they normally keep outdoors as well as drip the faucets to avoid potential plumbing issues. High clouds from the afternoon will stick around some tonight, but conditions should clear some before tomorrow morning. The wind will be light and variable.

Tomorrow

A mostly sunny day is expected Tuesday with temperatures topping off in the upper 50s and lower 60s. The wind will flow from the west-southwest at around 5 mph. Cloud cover should be limited to just a few cirrus.

Overnight will see more clouds arrive, however, and there’s even a slim chance for a shower. Conditions will be a lot warmer than Monday night as low temperatures stay above freezing around the region. Some spots may only drop down to around 40 degrees. The wind will be light out of the southwest.

Wednesday and Beyond

Hump day looks to be mostly cloudy with a few showers possible, especially in the late afternoon and evening hours. The wind will be a bit breezy from the southwest throughout the day before shifting to the west-northwest overnight. This is thanks to another cold front passing through. Expect a blustery day Thursday with temperatures only reaching the lower 40s for their peaks.
