Humidity begins to climb Tuesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s a very dry start to the week in Middle Georgia, however humidity will climb starting tomorrow.
This Evening
It’s an incredibly dry start to Christmas week. Temperatures reached the mid 60s for much of the region today while dew points were in the upper teens/lower 20s. Had the wind been any stronger and the region would have seen some fire weather alerts.
A sunny afternoon will become a clear night initially, however cloud cover should start to move in ahead of midnight. A shower is possible but unlikely. It will be a mild night with low temperatures likely in the mid-upper 40s. A couple of lower 50s will also be possible. The wind will be light out of the east. Dew points, which are an indicator of how much moisture is in the air, will still largely be below 35 heading into Tuesday morning.
Tomorrow
It will be a cloudy start to Tuesday before more sun comes out in the afternoon. Temperatures will largely reach the upper 60s however a few low 70s are possible in the warmest location. The wind will flow out of the southwest around 5 mph, allowing dew points to climb from the lower 30s in the morning into the mid 50s by late afternoon.
Overnight will be mostly clear with lows likely to hover around 50 degrees. Dew points should be in the lower 50s and upper 40s rolling into Wednesday morning. The wind will be light out of the west.
Wednesday and Beyond
Highs in the 70s are expected the rest of the week meaning it will be very warm on Christmas Day. There is a possibility of record highs for Christmas being set in parts of Middle Georgia. A few spots could also reach 80 degrees that day. Overnight lows will stay in the 50s the rest of the week as the humidity will finally be around normal for the given conditions.
