Traffic lights down at Shurling Drive and Millerfield Road after crash

Macon-Bibb crews installed temporary stop signs while a new traffic signal pole is ordered and repairs continue.

UPDATE: The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the single-vehicle crash happened around 2:45 p.m. No life-threatening injuries were reported, and no charges have been filed against the driver.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Traffic lights at the intersection of Shurling Drive and Millerfield Road were knocked down in a crash Wednesday afternoon.

According to Macon-Bibb County, Facilities Management crews are installing stop signs on Millerfield Road to provide temporary traffic control while a new pole is ordered and the signal system is rebuilt.

The county said drivers should use caution while traveling through the intersection as crews continue repairs.

Macon-Bibb County thanked Facilities Management and the Fire Department, along with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Power and Atrium Health EMS, for responding to the scene.
