17-year-old arrested after deadly shooting outside Dublin lounge

Officers say 17-year-old Devauoris Lewis was shot outside Lessons Lounge early Sunday morning and later died from his injuries.

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Dublin police arrested a 17-year-old in connection with a shooting that killed another teen early Sunday morning outside a downtown lounge.

According to a police department news release, officers were called to Lessons Lounge at 1111 Telfair Street around 12:40 a.m. after reports of a shooting. When they got there, officers found 17-year-old Devauoris Lewis with multiple gunshot wounds.

Lewis was taken to Fairview Park Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Macon, where he died.

In an update Monday, the Dublin Police Department said officers arrested 17-year-old Rodney Coady of Dublin for murder around 12:45 p.m.
