MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures will remain below average Wednesday as skies stay sunny across Middle Georgia.

It’s been a lovely Tuesday across Middle Georgia as most spots have topped off in the mid to upper 80s. Wind will continue from the north at 5-10 mph through the evening and into tonight. Low temperatures will largely be in the lower 60s however a couple of upper 50s cannot be ruled out. No rain is expected and fog should be hard to come by overnight as well. Skies will be mostly clear through the night.

Another sunny day awaits for Wednesday as temperatures should again largely top off in the mid 80s around the region. Wind will be light from the north-northeast.

Overnight a few more clouds will move in as mugginess starts to uptick slightly before rain chances start to return Thursday. Lows will be in the lower 60s accompanied by light wind from the northeast.

Thursday and Beyond

A new low pressure system will begin to approach from the west on Thursday starting with a warm front from the southwest. This could lead to a few showers or storms Thursday afternoon and evening before widespread rain takes over on Friday. Isolated storms will remain possible through much of Labor Day Weekend as well.

Fernand is barely a storm at this point in the northern Atlantic and there are no other areas to monitor at this time.
