Fort Valley State football to appear in five ESPN-broadcast SIAC games this fall

Wildcats featured in key matchups including Clark Atlanta, Tuskegee, and Albany State

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) Fort Valley State University (FVSU) will be featured in five games during the 2025 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) football season on ESPN platforms, including a primetime matchup on ESPNU and a pair of rivalry classics that highlight HBCU traditions.

The Wildcats will first appear in the national spotlight on Thursday, Sept. 11, when they face Clark Atlanta under the lights at CAU Panther Stadium. The 7 p.m. kickoff will be broadcast live on ESPNU, giving fans a midweek showdown between two Georgia-based SIAC rivals.

FVSU highlights: Rivalries and national exposure

Fort Valley State will continue its ESPN+ slate on Saturday, Sept. 27, traveling to face Tuskegee at 3 p.m. That game will be followed by a highly anticipated home contest against Savannah State on Oct. 18 at 3 p.m., airing on ESPN+ as part of the Good Trouble Heritage Classic.

Two additional late-season contests featuring the Wildcats are scheduled for ESPN+. On Nov. 1, FVSU will host Miles College in a 6 p.m. game, and the season will close out with the iconic Fountain City Classic against Albany State on Nov. 8 at 2 p.m.

Commissioner: Season marks a “new era of opportunity”

SIAC Commissioner Dr. Anthony Holloman praised the growing partnership with ESPN, calling the 2025 season a pivotal moment for the league.

“The 2025 season marks a new era of opportunity, and as we embark on our fifth year with ESPN, we eagerly anticipate an unforgettable season that will showcase the legacy, competitive fervor and resilience that define SIAC football,” Holloman said.

In total, the SIAC will have 22 games featured across ESPN platforms, culminating with the conference championship game on Nov. 15.
