Lower rain odds Tuesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Rain odds will begin to drop Tuesday after a soggy weekend across the region.
This Evening
A partly cloudy afternoon is seeing more clouds arrive heading into the evening hours, accompanied by some scattered showers and storms. These could feature a few severe hazards such as hail or strong wind gusts. A brief tornado is unlikely but cannot be ruled out.
Aside from rain low temperatures will be in the lower 60s under mostly clear skies. The Full Moon for the month of May should be visible for most around Middle Georgia tonight. It’s the Full Flower Moon, named for the pretty flowers that bloom after April’s showers. Wind will be light out of the southwest and fog will be possible.
Tomorrow
Another partly cloudy day is likely around Middle Georgia with another round of isolated to scattered storms likely over the back half of the day. Highs will reach the upper 70s and lower 80s with wind expected to be light from the southwest. No severe weather is expected with any storms tomorrow, and about half the region should see rain/storms.
Overnight will feature scattered clouds with lows likely in the low to mid 60s. Wind will remain light from the southwest.
Wednesday and Beyond
Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s Wednesday afternoon as rain odds take even more of a step back and more sunshine returns. Still, up to a third of the region could see isolated storms Wednesday’s afternoon and evening. Expect highs to push into the 90s to end the week as rain odds will be a lot lower heading into the next weekend.
