WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- A free tire recycling event is coming to Houston County as part of the 2025 Earth Day and Great American Cleanup celebrations. The event, organized by Keep Warner Robins Beautiful, offers residents a chance to safely dispose of old tires at no cost.

KWRB is hosting the free tire recycling event throughout Houston County on April 25 and April 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at three locations. There is no limit to the number of off-rim tires residents can drop off.

Drop-off locations:

  • Houston County Annex – Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins

  • Perry Purchasing Department – Kings Chapel Road, Perry

  • Houston County Landfill – Highway 247

To participate, residents must provide proof of Houston County residency, such as a driver’s license, water bill or vehicle tag. Commercial businesses are not eligible to participate.

If you see tires piled up in your backyard, storage shed, or even on the side of the road, event organizers say, bring them in.

This initiative supports the county’s ongoing environmental efforts to prevent illegal dumping and promote sustainable waste management. It’s part of a broader effort by Keep Warner Robins Beautiful to maintain clean neighborhoods and encourage resident involvement.

The event is held in collaboration with the Great American Cleanup, a national initiative spearheaded by Keep America Beautiful. You can learn more about the national effort at www.kab.org.
