Man in stable condition after hit-and-run in Warner Robins on Friday morning

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A man is in stable condition after a hit-and-run in Warner Robins on Friday morning, according to the Warner Robins Police Department.
The incident occurred at 5:45 a.m. March 7 at Russell Parkway and Tallulah Trail.
The 24-year-old victim was crossing the road in a crosswalk at the intersection with a signal to cross. The traffic signal for east and westbound traffic on Russell Parkway was red.
According to a news release, 23-year-old Jaheim Sanders was driving on Russell Parkway, ran the red light, and struck the victim. Sanders fled the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.
The Warner Robins Police Department said evidence at the scene and witness statements led investigators to identify Sanders as the driver. Sanders was arrested and charged with hit-and-run, driving without a license, disobeying a traffic control device, failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, and failure to exercise due care for a pedestrian.
