FVPD: Man shot multiple times by sister in Fort Valley

Preliminary investigation reveals a man and his sister drove to Fort Valley to meet with a person attempting to purchase illegal narcotics.

FORT  VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was airlifted from a hospital in Fort Valley on Thursday, after being shot multiple times by his sister.

According to Fort Valley Police Chief DJ Flores, officers responded to Davis Street at Hosley Street in reference to a shooting. He says after the preliminary investigation, a man and his sister drove to Fort Valley to meet with a person attempting to purchase illegal narcotics.

After arriving, an unknown person approached the vehicle the brother and his sister were in, and pointed a firearm towards brother and attempted to rob him.

Chief Flores says that’s when the sister began shooting in the direction of the unknown person and her brother, striking her brother at least three times by gunfire.

The vehicle then sped off to a nearby hospital and the brother was later airlifted to a hospital in Atlanta.
