A chilly and sunny afternoon will turn into a frigid and mostly clear night. Temperatures will fall below freezing during the suppertime hours, into the 20s ahead of midnight, and eventually stop in the lower 20s by tomorrow morning. Faucets across the region will need to be dripped to avoid plumbing disasters, and any outdoor pets should be brought inside. Wind will flow from the north-northwest at 5-10 mph, gusting to around 15 mph.

Tomorrow

Sunny skies are expected across Middle Georgia with some high cirrus clouds arriving during the afternoon. Highs will reach the upper 40s around the region along with a northwest wind around 5 mph.

Cloud cover will increase overnight, however temperatures are still expected to drop into the 20s. A shower or two will be possible ahead of Friday morning, however most of Middle Georgia will stay dry. Wind will flow generally out of the northeast at around 5 mph.

Friday

Snow will be possible early Friday as temperatures will be below freezing as the morning begins. Temperatures are expected to climb above freezing later in the day, however early precipitation and cloud cover could stunt that warming process. This could lead to more snow/mix. It would be best for Middle Georgians to stay anchored in for the day if possible, especially over the northern third of the region. Road conditions will be treacherous in the morning, and if warming is stunted that could last into the early parts of the afternoon.
