City of Perry prepares for Small Business Saturday, Tree Lighting Ceremony

The City of Perry will also host the 'City of Perry Christmas Parade: An Old Fashioned Christmas 2024' on December 7. 

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Perry is preparing for Small Business Saturday and hoping to boost the local economy.

Small Business Saturday will take place on November 30 from 10 a.m.to 6:30 p.m.

There will be free horse drawn carriage rides from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Carriage rides will start at the parking lot at Perry City Hall along Main Street. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. at the City Hall lawn.

City of Perry Downtown Manager, Alicia Hartley, says Small Business Saturday is a time to support local businesses. Hartley says that for every $100 spent, $68 of those dollars go back to the local economy in Perry.

Attendees can grab a “Shop Small Bingo Card” while shopping at local businesses. When participants complete a row of bingo, they will be entered into a drawing to win a $200 downtown dollar gift card.

The City of Perry will also host the ‘City of Perry Christmas Parade: An Old Fashioned Christmas 2024’ on December 7.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Carroll Street.
