Two children in Washington County killed by fallen tree during Hurricane Helene

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two children are dead after a tree fell through their house on Friday morning during Hurricane Helene, according to Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran.
Deputies responded to a call after 4 a.m. on South Hospital Road on September 27.
A tree fell through the house and trapped a 7-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl. The house was on fire and as a result, the children died from their injuries.
