Twiggs County Board of Education Chair resigns, special called meeting

JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A special called meeting will decide if the Twiggs County Board of Education will have a special election to fill a school board chair position.

According to Twiggs County Board of Education Superintendent Elgin Dixon, Joanie Rainey resigned from the position due to health reasons.

The called meeting happens Thursday at 6 p.m.
