Man charged with murder following discovery of body in Milledgeville
MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Milledgeville police charged a man with murder following the discovery of a woman’s body in a heavily wooded area Wednesday.
The Milledgeville Police Department identified the man as 26-year-old Clemmon Jamar Hunt of Milledgeville.
Chief Dray Swicord says officers received a call about a body found near the 300 block of Doles Boulevard.
The MPD news release states, “At this time, the cause of death is unknown. However, this case is being treated as a homicide.”
Georgia Bureau of Investigation
MPD turned the body over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab to determine a cause of death.
Police believe the dead woman as 33-year-old Latorra Michelle Tillman of Milledgeville, however, the crime lab has not confirmed that. Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office entered Tillman as a missing person on September 9.
Authorities have Hunt in custody and charged him with felony murder.
