Macon County High School discovery leads to precautionary closure of all county schools

UPDATE: Schools in Macon County abruptly closed Friday morning after staff at Macon County High School discovered what appeared to be approximately 13 bullet holes on campus. The finding was made around 7:30 a.m., prompting immediate action and concern from school officials.

Superintendent Mark Maynor told 41NBC’s Fiona King that upon their arrival, school staff quickly alerted law enforcement to the situation. In response, local authorities conducted a thorough sweep of the campus to ensure there were no further immediate threats to safety.
