Vine Ingle Little League’s World Series journey ends with 5-4 loss to California
The team competed in Livermore, California, where the Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division, introduced by Little League in 2013, features players aged 11-13.

LIVERMORE, California (41NBC/WMGT) — Vine Ingle Little League’s impressive run in the Little League Intermediate 50/70 Baseball World Series came to a close on Wednesday with a 5-4 loss to California.
The boys from Macon, representing Georgia as the “Southeast” team, opened play with a 6-4 win over Delaware, the “East” region representative, on Sunday, before facing a tough challenge from California, the “West” representative, on Monday.
Despite rallying after an early deficit, they fell 12-9, which placed them in the elimination bracket.
The team bounced back on Tuesday with a 6-4 win against the “Central” representative from Indiana to stay alive before Wednesday’s loss.
“We are so proud of these young men and coaches!” a Vine Ingle Little League Facebook post stated. “They were great representatives of our League, District, State, and Region and excellent role models for our young players! What an awesome run!”

The Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division, introduced by Little League in 2013, features players aged 11-13. This division is a transitional stage between the standard Little League field size and the Junior/Senior division, offering a transition for players between the standard Little League field size (46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths) and the Junior/Senior field size (60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance and 90-foot base paths), according to littleleague.org.
