Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigating armed robbery at Corner Grocery

Masked suspect demands money, flees on foot; no injuries reported

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial robbery that happened around 11 a.m. Wednesday at Corner Grocery, located at 2057 Walnut Street.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a masked male suspect entered the store, brandished a firearm and demanded money from the store clerk. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect ran, heading west on Walnut Street. No one was injured.

The suspect is between 5’11” and 6’1″. He was wearing a red ski mask, desert storm camouflage coveralls and black shoes.
