The Westfield School employee tests positive for COVID-19

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A faculty/staff member at The Westfield School in Perry has tested positive for COVID-19.

A news release sent by e-mail to 41NBC Thursday said the employee notified Head of School William Carroll of the diagnosis on Wednesday.

“The school is legally required to protect the privacy of this individual who shall remain anonymous,” the release said.

“First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with this individual and their family.”

School maintenance employees have been disinfecting the school’s indoor common areas and will now do the same in additional areas where “this individual would and could possibly have had contact.”

“We have no way of knowing when this individual could or would have been contagious nor can we know who could possibly have been exposed,” the release continued.
