Motorcyclist dead following two-vehicle crash in Macon
The crash happened just after 5:30 Monday night at the intersection of Columbus Road and Cavalier Drive.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash Monday night at the intersection of Columbus Road and Cavalier Drive.
A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release says the crash was called in at 5:39.
Deputies say a motorcyclist was traveling west on Columbus Road when he collided with a BMW X3 turning onto Columbus Road from Cavalier Drive.
Paramedics took the motorcyclist, identified as 49-year-old Willard Owen Gilbow of Macon, to Atrium Health Navicent. Coroner Leon Jones says Gilbow was pronounced dead at the hospital about an hour after the crash.
No one else was injured.
