Another wet end to the week awaits Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Rain is once again expected Friday and Saturday around Middle Georgia.
The Rest of the Evening
Cloud cover will ramp up over Middle Georgia as the evening rolls into the night. A shower or two will be possible ahead of midnight, but rain will mostly hold off until the early hours of Friday. Low temperatures around the region will be in the mid to upper 50s with wind out of the east-southeast coming in at around 5 mph. Some fog will also be possible overnight.
Tomorrow
Middle Georgians will need the rain gear out the door as stratiform rain is likely to move into the region ahead of the sunrise Friday. It will be a cooler day as skies stay overcast with rain hanging around all morning and into the afternoon. Ambient winds will be a bit stronger from the east as they range from 10-15 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph.
A warm front arriving later in the day will allow temperatures to climb into the mid to upper 60s around the region as well as bring the possibility for a few thunderstorms in the evening. Showers will likely continue during the evening as well.
More showers will continue tomorrow night along with the chance for a thunderstorm or two. Lows will be in the upper 50s for most of Middle Georgia ahead of Saturday morning. Ambient wind will shift more towards the north as the night rolls into Saturday morning.
This Weekend
Saturday will be warm and gusty with highs reaching the upper 60s and lower 70s. Showers will be likely, especially in the afternoon, as skies remain mostly cloudy. Wind will come from the north at 10-20 mph, potentially gusting over 30 mph at times in the afternoon. These strong breezes will carry into Saturday night as skies work to clear out.
Sunday will be a sunny and pleasant day with breezes coming from the northwest at 5-12 mph and highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. More clouds will return Monday afternoon ahead of midweek rain next week.
