Georgia Drivers Fair Well In Langley NASCAR K&N Series Pro Race
HAMPTON, VA – NASCAR Drive for Diversity driver Sergio Peña notched his second win of the K&N Pro Series season after a hard battle with Griffin, Georgia’s Max Gresham in the VisitHamptonVA 175 at Langley Speedway.
Peña used lap traffic to his advantage on Lap 117 and held on the balance of the 175-lap event for the victory.
Brett Moffitt, who went two laps down after cutting a tire on the first lap of the race, was recipient of the free pass twice and put on a late-race charge to grab second place.
Gresham wound up third, his sixth-straight top-five, which moved him to the points lead for the first time in his career.
Dawsonville’s Chase Elliott rebounded from a disappointing ending to last week’s race in Jefferson, Georgia to finish fifth and earn his second Rookie of the Race award.
