Busy Week Of Racing Ahead For Chase Elliott
DAWSONVILLE, GA – NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Series event at Langley Speedway, 15-year-old Chase Elliott has a busy week of racing planned.
“We are making gains every time we race,” said Elliott, who won Rookie Of The Race honors for the second time in his K&N career.
Elliott and his team will race on Tuesday, June 21, at Berlin Raceway in a rematch with Sprint Cup driver Kyle Busch in the third annual Rowdy’s Revenge 251 at Berlin Raceway, a race that carries a $15,000 purse and huge bragging rights.
Last year, a 14-year-old Elliott beat Busch in the first 125-lap duel and finished second to him in the main event, a strong showing for the young son of 1988 Cup Champ Bill Elliott, against one of the most talented NASCAR drivers today.
“Last year the race didn’t end like we wanted it to, but hopefully this year we will be battling for the win,” said Elliott.
“It has been a difficult week making all of the necessary preparations to go from a K&N race on Saturday in Virginia to the Rowdy 251 in a Super Late Model at Berlin, Michigan,” Elliott said. “The guys have worked hard while Dad and I spent a couple of days last week taking care of some media and sponsor obligations, and I really appreciate their dedication.”
After the Berlin race, Elliott then travels to the Gulf Coast, where he’ll race at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola on Friday June 24 and at Mobile International Raceway on Saturday, June 25.
