More sunshine and heat coming to Middle Georgia to begin February

Skies will remain mostly clear this evening with winds slowing down from earlier today. Expect sustained speeds to range from about 1-6 mph from the north-northwest most of the night before becoming variable overnight. Temperatures will drop to or just above the freezing point for most of Middle Georgia tonight.

Skies will be mostly sunny with plenty of cirrus clouds likely to move in during the afternoon. Highs will reach into the low to mid 60s with winds from the southwest coming in at around 5 mph.

Overnight will be partly cloudy as cirrus and some stratus clouds hang around. Temperatures will drop into the upper 30s with winds from the west at about 5 mph.

Friday and Beyond

Friday will be a partly sunny day with highs reaching into the upper 60s, maybe even lower 70s for a couple of spots. Winds will come from the west-northwest at about 5-10 mph, gusting upwards of 15 mph. Overnight temperatures will fall into the upper 30s and lower 40s.

A weak cold front moving through overnight Friday and into Saturday will lead to cooler temperatures (low to mid 60s) around the region Saturday afternoon. Sunshine will stay through Saturday before cloud cover returns Sunday with rain arriving Sunday afternoon. Rain will remain possible through Monday before sunshine returns next Tuesday.
