Gun prompts lockdown at Bibb County school
Someone turned in a gun to a staff member at Ballard-Hudson Middle School, prompting a lockdown on Wednesday.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Someone turned in a gun to a staff member at Ballard-Hudson Middle School, prompting a lockdown on Wednesday.
The Bibb County School District said through a spokesperson that the lockdown was precautionary and lasted for 20 minutes.
In a statement to 41NBC News, the BCSD said:
“The safety and security of our students and staff is a top priority, and this violation is being handled by BCSD Campus Police and Safety and Security Teams. The school has resumed normal operations and will dismiss as usual.”
