Georgia Native Shares Experience as a Woman in her 40’s Without Kids
We are just coming off the holiday to honor mom and for many women the day brings feelings of love and appreciation. For others, those women without children, it can be tough. Author of “The BarrEnness,” who was born and raised in Georgia, Sonja Lewis, joined us on the 41NBC news at 6pm Monday to talk about some of the trends women of the next generation are starting when it comes to having kids.
Lewis says one in five women don’t have children and she’s a part of that statistic as a women in her 40’s without kids. In her book, Lewis explores how women who don’t have children can be viewed differently depending on their culture. Lewis also addresses the issue of those women who can’t have children by choice, the 6 million women in the U.S. that have infertility problems.
Lewis takes you on a journey of a woman in the new generation making the decision not to have children. You can purchase “The BarrEnness” at www.BarnesandNoble.com and www.amazon.com
