73-year-old Perry man killed in pedestrian crash on Highway 41 in Houston County

The Houston County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division is investigating.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 73-year-old Perry man died after being struck by a vehicle Monday night in Houston County, according to the Houston County Coroner’s Office.

Houston County Coroner James Williams identified the victim as John David West of Perry.

According to the coroner, the crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian happened on Highway 41, just south of the intersection with Highway 96. A 911 call reporting the incident was received at approximately 10:45 p.m. Monday.

West was pronounced dead following the crash.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division is investigating. Officials have not released additional information about the circumstances surrounding the crash.
