7 year old injured after being hit by car in Juliette

JULIETTE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 7-year-old child was injured after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Monroe County.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call at 10:51 a.m. on June 17 regarding a pedestrian accident on McCrakin Street in Juliette.Authorities said the child suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Children’s Hospital in Atlanta for treatment.  The circumstances surrounding the accident have not been released.

The incident remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
