Monroe County sheriff’s office investigating after child hit by car

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said the child had non-life-threatening injuries and was transferred to Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- A 7-year-old child was taken to a hospital after being hit by a car Wednesday morning in Juliette, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said it received a call this morning, at 10:51 a.m. about a child being hit by a car on McCrakin Street in Juliette.

According to the sheriff’s office, the child had non-life-threatening injuries.

The child was transferred to Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.

The sheriff’s office said the accident remains under investigation.

No other details were released.
