Store clerk injured during east Macon armed robbery

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a suspect accused of robbing an east Macon convenience store at gunpoint.

According to a news release, a man entered the Quick Serve Convenience Store on Gray Highway with a gun around 3:30 a.m., Tuesday. He forced one employee to the back of the store and demanded money from the employee behind the counter.

After receiving the drawer from the cash register, he forced the employee to the back of the store with the first employee.

The suspect fired two shots during the robbery but no one was hit. One of the employees suffered minor cuts from a box cutter.

The suspect escaped with an unknown amount of cash. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and pants, and a blue mask on his face.
