UPDATE: Missing man found safe and in good health

UPDATE: Tuesday, July 14th at 7:30 a.m. – 56 year old Matthew Williams has been found safe. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, he was found at a convenience store by family friend Saturday night. The family friend drove Williams to his sister’s house and he is in good health.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office needs help finding a missing man.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 56 year old Matthew Williams walked away from his assisted living residence in the 600 block of Monroe Street on Thursday night.

Deputies say Williams suffers from dementia and has other minor medical issues that he takes medication for.

Williams is 6 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 230 pounds and is bald. He was last seen wearing a gray and white striped shirt, jeans and red shoes.
