Mustang goes down embankment, driver and passenger taken to hospital

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – A car crash on I-475 south in Macon sent the driver and passenger of a Mustang to the hospital.

According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, 37 year old Chiriga Godfrey of Macon was driving on I-475 south in Macon, near mile marker one, around 6:30 Saturday evening. Godfrey lost control of the car and went through a guardrail near the Tobosofkee Creek Bridge. The car went down an embankment and rolled several times.

The news releases goes on to say, Godfrey and the passenger were taken to Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon and are in stable condition.

This crash is under investigation.
