Jackson woman killed in head on car crash in Monroe County

FORSYTH, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – A Jackson woman was killed over the weekend during a car crash in Monroe County.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, 68 year old Nancy Skinner’s car was hit head on by a Jeep, driven by Timothy Turner of Forsyth. The Sheriff’s Office reports Turner crossed over the line on High Falls Road near Marty’s Transmission at 6:40 Saturday evening.

Skinner was pronounced dead when Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies arrived. Turner sustained minor injuries. It’s unclear at this time if Turner will face any charges.
