41NBC’s Home, Health, and Safety Expo bring business and community together
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -From bomb squad robots to mortgage 101, 41NBC’s home, health, and safety expo had everyone covered on Saturday.
Angela Alcantar, from BB&T, said the expo helped her connect with customers.
“Any specific product that we may be lacking or may need to focus on, it lets us kind of hear from the crowd, hear from our people that gives us the business,” Alcantar said.
The one thing that really caught everyone’s attention was the bomb squad demonstration.
Our very own Edna Ruiz, put on her brave face, and used her muscles as she walked around in a more than 90 pounds bomb suit.
Lieutenant Wilton Collins, Bibb County Bomb Squad, put the suit on Ruiz.
“She had a chance to move around in it to see how limited and restricted it is, how heavy it is,” Collins said.
He said people are always fascinated to see exactly what they do.
“A lot of people have come by and they always do. Anytime you mention bomb squad or swat team, they get a kick outta that. We’re eager to show them what we have,” Collins said.
Pyramid Roofing and Windows’s Office Manager, Taylor Cowart, said the event was all about meeting potential customers.
“It’s going really well we are meeting new people connecting with the community out here in the Middle Georgia region. It’s going well, ” Cowart said.
The 41NBC expo had something for everyone, bringing businesses and the community together under one roof.
