We spoke with a semi-finalist in doubles tennis, Quinn Gleason, about her decision to play in the tournament with Catherine Harrison.

“I was going to take a week off but I was sitting on my couch when Cat texted me,” said Gleason. “I was like ‘you know what? I’m going to go it sounds like a good idea.’ I’m definitely glad I came, it worked out.”

Matches start at 11 a.m. Saturday. On Sunday the singles final starts at 1 p.m.

The tournament takes place at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center in Macon. It is open to the public, and it’s just $5 a day for tickets.
