2 people die in Twiggs County crash

JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two Cochran residents died in a crash early Saturday in Twiggs County.

Georgia State Patrol senior trooper Jeff Davidson tells 41NBC it happened just after 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Long Street Road and Georgia Highway 358.

24-year-old Cameron Bradley was driving a black Ford F-150 pickup truck down Long Street Road when he ran a stop sign. The truck hit an enclosed trailer that was being pulled by another pickup truck. Bradley, along with 16-year-old front seat passenger Maria Palaypayon, both died.

Three other people were in the backseat. They only suffered “bumps and bruises,” Davidson says. None of the five were wearing seatbelts.

Three people in the second vehicle were not injured.
