WRPD: Woman arrested after pointing gun at others at Walmart

Warner Robins Police Chief Wayne Fisher says 35-year-old Shannon Lawson was taken into custody.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman was arrested Wednesday night after witnesses say she pointed a gun at several people at Walmart on Watson Boulevard.

Following multiple social media posts about a large police presence at the store, we reached out to the Warner Robins Police Department for more information.

Chief Wayne Fisher tells 41NBC officers were dispatched to the store in reference to a fight between two teenagers “where it was alleged that a firearm was brandished.”

35-year-old Shannon Lawson had gotten into a verbal dispute with two juvenile females, according to Fisher, and pointed a handgun at “several persons.”

Fisher says security video showed Lawson was the primary offender. She was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
