WRIGHTSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Wrightsville man accused of sending sexually explicit content to a 13-year-old girl on Snapchat was arrested Wednesday in Douglas, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

23-year-old Jose Quinones faces felony charges of electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor and enticing a child for indecent purposes. U.S. Marshals arrested him on Wednesday, and he is now being held in the Johnson County Jail.

According to a news release from Sheriff Greg Rowland’s office, the investigation began on December 11, 2024, after the sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division received information about Quinones. Investigators say he contacted the 13-year-old victim through Snapchat between November and December 2024, sent sexual videos and photos and requested explicit content from her in return.

After gathering evidence over several months, the division obtained arrest warrants for Quinones.

“I hope this arrest sends a loud and clear message: the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has a ZERO-tolerance policy for exploitation of children,” Sheriff Rowland said. “We will continue to work diligently to stop these predators. Johnson County is a great community and we will work relentlessly to ensure that it remains a safe place for our children.”

The investigation remains active. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Investigator Troy Fallin at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 864-4003.
