Woman jumps out of moving ambulance on I-75 in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman is in critical condition because she jumped out of a moving ambulance on I-75 Thursday night just after 10 p.m.

It happened near the Mercer University Drive exit.

She unbuckled her seat belt and jumped out, but had been cooperative and was talking with paramedics before she did it.

The 25-year-old was heading to Medical Center, Navicent Health because she asked to go.

She had been a part of what the sheriff’s office calls a disturbance near the Flash Foods on Hartley Bridge Road.

Deputies went there, found her, and sent her to the hospital.
